Items of basic information about the way I conduct my business.
I am a licensed Master Electrician in the State of New Hampshire. All work is done to meet the currently adopted edition of the National Electric code (2017 edition) and any local requirements.
Permits will be obtained where required.
Parts and material are billed at cost plus a charge for ordering and pick up and any shipping costs. Material is usually purchased at the best available price for quality necessary to meet customer and code requirements. Rush jobs may require material to be purchased locally which may be noticeably more expensive than wholesaler or “big box” retailers.
Estimates for jobs over $ 1,000,00 are normally given, estimates for smaller jobs will be done upon request. Usually estimates are within 10% of the finished cost and efforts to explain and get approval for any overruns will be submitted. Estimates do not cover design changes or unforeseen construction problems. Disputes can be worked out at the time of the work.
Where permits are required, I will obtain the proper permit and the cost of that permit will be added to the estimate and invoice for the job.
Projects over $2000.00 have a payment schedule of 1/3 at time of agreement, 1/3 at “rough-in” inspection, and the final 1/3 plus or minus any changes at final inspection.
Invoices are due and payable upon presentation and considered past due 20 days after submission. A charge of 1% per month is added on all late payments with a $1 minimum statement fee for late payments. The customer is liable for all costs of collection.
